大念住經(87) 滅聖諦之解釋


《長部經典》第二十二 Mahāsatipaṭṭhānasutta 大念住經 (DN 22)


 第三章   滅聖諦之解釋 Nirodhasaccaniddeso
 
(三十) 401. Katamañca, bhikkhave, dukkhanirodhaṃ [dukkhanirodho (syā.)] ariyasaccaṃ?

又,比丘們!什麼是『苦滅聖諦』呢?

And what is the noble truth of the cessation of stress?


Yo tassāyeva taṇhāya asesavirāganirodho cāgo paṭinissaggo mutti anālayo.

它是渴愛之完全離染、滅盡、捨棄、捨離、解脫、無執。

The remainderless fading & cessation, renunciation, relinquishment, release, & letting go of that very craving.


Sā kho panesā, bhikkhave, taṇhā kattha pahīyamānā pahīyati, kattha nirujjhamānā nirujjhati? Yaṃ loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ, etthesā taṇhā pahīyamānā pahīyati, ettha nirujjhamānā nirujjhati.

但是,比丘們!渴愛於何處捨棄,何處息滅?只要,身心世界有誘人、可喜之事物,渴愛就在那裡捨棄和息滅!

And where, when being abandoned, is this craving abandoned? And where, when ceasing, does it cease? Whatever seems endearing and agreeable in terms of the world: that is where, when being abandoned, this craving is abandoned. That is where, when ceasing, it ceases.


Kiñca loke piyarūpaṃ sātarūpaṃ?

而在――身心世界,什麼是誘人、可喜之事物呢?

And what seems endearing and agreeable in terms of the world?
