第一節 生 jāti
（十七） 388. Katamā ca, bhikkhave, jāti?
又，比丘們！什麼是『生』？
And what is birth?
Yā tesaṃ tesaṃ sattānaṃ tamhi tamhi sattanikāye jāti sañjāti okkanti abhinibbatti khandhānaṃ pātubhāvo āyatanānaṃ paṭilābho,
對一切眾生而言，在各類眾生中：『受生、入胎、出生、顯現諸蘊、獲得內、外六處。』
Whatever birth, taking birth, descent, coming-to-be, coming-forth, appearance of aggregates, & acquisition of [sense] spheres of the various beings in this or that group of beings,
ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, jāti.
比丘們！這就叫『生』。
that is called birth.
